About Eindhoven

Eindhoven has a lot of history, most of which dates back to the 13th century, when it was known as Eindhoven, which means ’End Yards’. The town changed hands from the Dutch to the Spanish during the 16th century and in 1629 it officially became part of the Netherlands. Nowadays, this town is the fifth largest in the country, with a total population of more than 200,000 inhabitants, being foreigners almost a third of them.

Some of the must-see attractions are Van Abbemuseum, the Genneper Park with its hidden ponds, wooden bridges and some old and interesting architecture, St Catherine’s Church is another interesting spot in the city, with its Neo-Gothic design.
